I had the realisation that I tend to rush things and it's time to slow down! I will sometimes post about what's happening in my life as usually my readers or viewers tend to be going through something similar.
here's some examples of what I rush:
relationships. I will get into relationships quickly, often going for the first option that comes along. Especially if it's been a while, without getting to know them first. My last relationship I moved in with them very quickly and it didn't end very well.
learning something new. Whenever I start a new online course I want to quickly get through it so that I complete the course as soon as possible and start using what I have learned
working with clay. I get an image in my mind of what I want to create and rush through it so I can get the finished product on my shelf.
healing. Once I've healed something within myself I'm always trying to figure out what I can heal next so that I can heal everything and be able to relax.
but slowing down and taking the time to integrate things is very important. When I rush my healing it doesn't give me time to live and enjoy life after. As I'm always going to the next thing. And we are never done healing ourselves and sometimes if you haven't done it fully it pops back up in your life again in a different way and you have to do it all again. When I rush my clay work it doesn't end up looking like what I had imagined because I didn't take the time to finesse the details the way I wanted. With studying you need that extra time so that things sink in properly. If you rush you are not fully taking everything in that you need to and later when you are trying to implement it into your life you forget things. And I think rushing things with a relationship goes without saying, we all know deep down that it will only end badly but we are so excited that we do it anyway. So these are some things that I rush. What are some things that you rush in life and where can you slow down a bit to make life easier in the long run for you and give you time to enjoy the present and what you are doing? The destination will come soon enough just enjoy the journey!
